Request a drainage visit
Water getting into the house or under it right now? Call. For soggy lawns, washouts, downspout lines and regrading, send a request and a drainage contractor will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your street address, so the request reaches a contractor who works that part of Forrest or Lamar County
- What the water does: stands in the lawn, runs toward the house, or collects underneath it
- Whether you're inside Hattiesburg, Petal or Purvis city limits or in the county
- Photos or a short video taken during a storm, if you have them
- Anything you know about flood zones, HOA rules or drainage easements on the lot
River or creek rising toward your house? Yard drainage can't hold back a flooding Leaf or Bouie River. Follow Forrest County and Lamar County emergency management instructions, move to higher ground if told to, and call about drainage once the water is down.
